We always have a great time here. The location of this home is perfect for the kids.

Beachcomber was a peaceful getaway within easy walking distance of the beach, with plenty of space and great outdoor space too. The sheets in the back bedroom smelled of mildew, but otherwise no complaints whatsoever--really enjoyed the property.

Our group of 8 had mixed reviews. Overall - Nice house, Great location, love the path to the beach. Not as cozy as other homes we've stayed. Throw blankets would be nice. Small windowless bedroom is a bit of an exaggeration. Lacked some of the basics like towels (mostly hand towels for the bathrooms) and additional garbage bags for a large group.

We enjoy the location and would like to consider renting again. The issue is the downstairs bathroom which is in poor condition: the toilet is loose and wobbles when anyone uses it AND the mold in the bathroom with tiles that need repolacing is NOT healthy.

We love staying in Bodega Bay and always have a wonderful experience with Bodega Bay Escapes. The Beachcomber is an awesome space for our family. It is spacious and close to the beach. I highly recommend a stay there!

The location and views were great and the access to the beach was an easy 5 minute walk even with carrying a baby and toddler most of the way. The house layout was perfect for a couple of families. Our only issue was that the description of the primary bedroom needs to be updated. The bed is not a queen but a full size which was a disappointment. Also there is no tv in the primary bedroom as described, which is fine just not accurate. We would definitely stay here again.

Spring Trip with Family and Friends

Our family stays in Bodega Bay every February and we have stayed at Beachcomber several times. It’s a great place. It would be. Ice though, if the beds (mattresses) would be upgraded. The kitchen is well equipped.
We will stay there again.

Wonderful house with a beautiful view. I would have been more satisfied if we had been warned that the fireplace did not have much draw and , while functional with artificial logs, largely ineffective with actual logs. Otherwise it was as advertised

Love the location and layout of the home. The staff at BBE are the best. The weather was perfect and the crabbing was excellent. We always have a great time here. This is our fourth or fifth time in this home. Time to book for next year. We love it.

We celebrated our anniversary and my husband’s birthday and we had a wonderful stay with loved ones. We hope to come back again soon. The beach was close to the home, and an easy walk. Some of our highlights: flying kites, exploring the ocean life at low tide, flying kites...golfing and riding horses at Chanslor ranch. We had a special dinner at Drakes—just down the road. Thanking God for His wonderful provisions above, and Bodega Bay Escapes for their hospitality!

Best Bodega bay trip ever out of the 20 times i have been their. This house is great for families, adults have a room up stairs while kids can be down stairs. back patio views and evening with the hot tub gone, to sit out back was relaxing, first trip with no wind, yes no wind. that does happen once in awhile in Bodega.

Beachcomber was a perfect fit for our family holiday. It has a very well-equipped kitchen, comfortable gathering areas and is just a very short path to the beach. The house was was just "as advertised" which is not always the case when looking on-line. Look forward to staying at Beachcomber again

Everything was just right for our weeklong stay at the Beachcomer.
We walked down the path out back to Doran Beach each day and came back to this lovely home that had everything we needed. Beautiful views, comfortable beds and full kitchen that was convenient and fun to cook in.
Thanks to Bodega Bay Escapes for having things beautifully clean and ready for us and for clear excellent communication throughout the rental process !

The Beachcomber is a lovely home we would rent again. We had four adults and four teenagers, and the house was perfectly sized for us. The main level with the living room, dining room and kitchen were ideal for gathering and socializing. The four queen size beds and the bathrooms were comfortable. The only things we felt were missing were a hot tub and shampoo (e.g. travel size shampoo and conditioner like at hotels) in the shower. The Bodega Bay Escapes team is very professional and responsive. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Wonderful!! The beach path was very convenient and the view was spectacular. The best parts of the house were the patio and deck. The interior decor could use some updating but the beds and living areas were very comfy. I did have to resist rearranging the kitchen tools to make it more efficient. LOL! All in all, its an awesome beach house with a great view, convenient beach access, and gorgeous neighborhood.

There were quite a bit of ants this trip, which is to be expected with the drought, management dropped some spray off first thing. Some basic cleaning products would be nice to have on hand as well.

We had a GREAT week after over a year of no travels or vacations. Thanks to Bodega Bay Escapes' staff for all their work during these challenging times. We didn't need much but they were great if we had any questions.

Great location and amazing views and easy access to the beach. Very quiet - could even hear the surf! Overall the house is fine - a bit out dated in certain aspects and could have used a few more creature comforts but overall a good place for a weekend visit.

The house was great. Plenty of space. The owners have made a great effort to stock the house with enough kitchen supplies. And the location was great, just a 5-minute walk got us to the beach!!! We found the house super clean. However, the house was advertised as having cable, the cable was disconnected and not working.

Thanks so much for early entry and for letting the rental agency come and go to remove the chair It really helped us make it thru a very rough year with virus and fires. we were not informed that extra sheets, games and movies were not included before our visit due to covid. There was a smart tv but unable to sign on to our Netflix through the app supplied and no cable TV even though it was in the description. There were not enough garbage bags supplied for the week. we had to purchase our own and the garbage was never collected the whole week we were there so it piled up in the garage. We did call to have someone show us how to use the remotes as there were no instructions and we thought we would have cable which wasn't the case. They also brought us extra sheets for the fold out bed. One of the beds downstairs was hard as a rock and we ended up sleeping on an airbed we brought. The wifi was not protected by a password which allowed us to access easily but was it safeguarded?

The basic reason for choosing this house was the convenience of entering the house onto the main living level also with a master bedroom. Another added feature was the walkable distance to Doran Beach.

As always, it was great! Pam, Matt, Jess and the team are terrific! House was very nice, everyone (all of us retirees) had a really good time. Propane did run out one day and it was cold but it was filled the next day. Wood delivery guys asked for $50 cash to stack the wood...I paid it. No problem. Hot water in shower and bath was a little tepid, usable but not like home. Someone may want to check the hot water heater.

Overall stay was very nice. The unit had no large pots and the stove top burners needs adjusting. Could not control any of the temps on any of the burners.

We stayed in the Beachcomber with a few friends. We had plenty of space even with 8 people. The rooms were good, except one. It did not have any windows. But each room had a queen bed which made it much more comfortable for all guests.

The TV/Cable was not working. Spent 5 hours of our time. Comcast could not come until Sun. Should be rebated some of the cost. It was installed incorrectly.

When we go away we like to dance and cook. The Gull house is lacking in stereo equipment (no CD player, neither tuner nor speakers were working). We could play 1 CD at a time on the DVD Player with only the TV speaker playing.
The cookware was very poor quality, dented and scratched teflon, aluminum pots and pans and lack of cooking utensils. Private but unaesthetic hot tub location.

Property manager extremely helpful. Great follow-up both with check-in and check-out. Only reason we were dissatisfied was the tv's were broken and didn't work. The home has a great location. You can walk right down to the beach and the views are spectacular. Good layout of the house too. The house was not spotless but in general pretty clean. Our family had a great time.
